For one client, Claude runs as admin on a dedicated server with over 160 websites. Launching new sites, DNS changes, searching email and investigating outages all happen in plain language there. Each team member who asks has their own Claude account and their own environment on the same server.
That kind of power calls for safety nets: accounts are suspended rather than deleted, a backup is made before every drastic action, and Claude works on each site as that site's own user.
An isolated environment for your hosting account. Your terminal, and therefore Claude, only sees your own files and the programs you need. Other customers and system files simply don't exist in there.
Claude works as the DirectAdmin administrator on your own server. That lets Claude create accounts, manage DNS and email for every domain and look after every site. Never as root on the sites themselves: per site through sudo to the right user.
