#// why you should leave WordPress
// speed

Slow load times cost you customers

[wordpress]An average WordPress site (theme + 10+ plugins + WooCommerce) scores a 3-5s LCP on mobile. Google ranks you down for it, and visitors drop off before your quote request comes in.

[invoker]Statically rendered pages on a global edge network. LCP <1.5s, a perfect Lighthouse score, no PHP rendering, no database queries on every page view.

// plugins

Plugin piles that break each other

[wordpress]Contact Form 7 + Yoast + WPML + WooCommerce + page builder + security plugin + cache plugin. Every update can break something else. Nobody does compatibility testing.

[invoker]Zero plugins. Functionality lives in your codebase, version-controlled and tested. We upgrade dependencies as part of the maintenance subscription; you won't notice a thing.

// security

Hacks are a matter of when, not if

[wordpress]WordPress powers ~40% of the web and is the #1 target for attackers. Plugin vulnerabilities leak every week. Hosting providers report thousands of compromised WP sites every month.

[invoker]No admin panel for attackers to hit. No database to break into. Your site is static HTML + CSS + JS. There's nothing to break, nothing to inject, nothing to leak.

// maintenance

Updates turn into a part-time job

[wordpress]WordPress core + theme + 15 plugins, each with its own release schedule. Miss a security patch: trouble. Apply it without testing: broken. The result: you pay someone to do this every week.

[invoker]We maintain the stack in the €29/mo subscription. Your website itself needs no updates: there's no WordPress, just your built HTML that stays put and works.

// costs

Hidden costs that grow every month

[wordpress]WordPress is 'free'. Elementor Pro €49/yr, WP Rocket €59/yr, Yoast Premium €99/yr, decent managed hosting €20-40/mo, a backup plugin, a security plugin, maintenance by an agency €100-200/mo. That adds up to €2,000+ a year.

[invoker]€450 one-off (or free with a 24-month subscription) + €29/mo all-in. No plugin subscriptions, no surprises. A fixed price, fixed scope, fixed promise.

// seo

A common worry: 'If we migrate we'll lose our SEO'

[wordpress]True if you hire a copy-and-paste agency. Forgotten 301 redirects, a changed URL structure, robots.txt not kept, and within 3 months your rankings are gone.

[invoker]We map every old URL 1:1 to the new one, keep canonicals, set up 301 redirects automatically and test with Search Console before go-live. Your rankings stay put.

#// how we migrate your site
01

Analysis + sitemap

// Week 1, days 1-2

We crawl your WordPress site and list every URL, content type, form, embedded media item and the plugins you actually use. You get a migration plan with scope and deadline.

02

Building the new site

// Week 1, days 3-5

A prototype on our staging environment. Content is carried over 1:1, and the design is rebuilt in the style you want. No Figma: straight onto a URL you can open.

03

Feedback + content sync

// Week 2, days 1-2

You tell us what should change. Meanwhile we sync the latest content changes from the WordPress production site. We move over forms, emails and analytics connections.

04

301 redirects + Search Console check

// Week 2, day 3

Every old URL gets a 301 to the new one. We submit the new sitemap to Google Search Console and monitor crawl errors and indexing before the DNS switch.

05

DNS switch: live

// Week 2, day 4

Your WordPress stays on a backup URL for a while, just in case. The DNS switch takes minutes, SSL is automatic. Downtime: 0 seconds.

06

Monitoring + support

// Week 2, day 5 + maintenance

We monitor Google Search Console for ranking drops for 2 weeks. Small content changes are included in the €29/mo subscription. Larger additions are quoted separately.

// how we keep your google rankings

Every old WordPress URL is mapped 1:1 to the new site with a 301 redirect. We carry over meta titles and descriptions (or improve them if you want). We submit a new sitemap to Google Search Console before go-live, so Google already knows the new structure before the DNS switch. After launch we monitor crawl errors, index coverage and ranking drops for 2 weeks. In practice most clients see their rankings stay the same or even rise: the speed boost improves your Core Web Vitals.

Screenshot of Van Ams, after migration by Invoker

Van Ams (recruitment and secondment for housing associations) ran on WordPress. We rebuilt the site on Next.js: vacancies flow in automatically from their recruitment system Jaicob, candidates register with a CV upload, and a blog answers the collective-agreement questions candidates google.

@Van Ams
// result
No more WordPress updates or plugins. Vacancies sync themselves, registrations and CVs land straight in Jaicob. A single collective-agreement article alone draws over 1,300 Google impressions a month.

#// frequently asked questions
01Can I take my existing WordPress content (pages, blog posts, images) with me?+
Yes. We export your content through the WordPress REST API or an XML dump and convert it to the new structure. Media such as images and PDFs come along too. Custom Post Types and ACF fields: just mention them in the intake conversation and we'll handle those as well.
02What happens to my Google rankings?+
They stay put, as long as the migration is done properly. We set 301 redirects for every old URL, keep your meta titles and descriptions (unless you want to improve them), submit a new sitemap and monitor Search Console for 2 weeks after launch. Most clients see no drop, or even a rise thanks to the speed boost.
03How long does a WordPress migration take?+
Usually 1-2 weeks from briefing to launch. For larger sites (500+ pages, a complex WooCommerce shop, multilingual) we plan 3-4 weeks. You get the exact schedule after the analysis on days 1-2.
04Will my forms, WooCommerce shop and mailing list still work?+
We convert forms (Contact Form 7, Gravity Forms, etc.) to a native implementation with email notifications that work at least as well. We usually replace WooCommerce with a Mollie or Stripe integration if the shop is small; large shops (1,000+ products, complex inventory) are outside the scope of this migration. Mailing lists: exported from the WordPress plugin and imported into Mailchimp / ActiveCampaign / Resend, whichever you prefer.
05What exactly does a WordPress migration cost?+
€450 one-off excl. VAT for the build and migration. With a subscription it's less: €225 with 12 months, €0 with 24 months. The subscription itself is €29/month for hosting, maintenance, backups and security, and its price never changes. For larger or more complex sites the build can cost more; we quote that before we start, never afterwards.
06Do I have to start over with SEO / content marketing?+
No. All your existing content stays, in the same URL structure (or with a 301 redirect if a URL changes). Yoast/Rank Math is replaced by native schema.org injection in our stack: better, lighter, and no update dependency.
07Can I edit content myself later, or do I always have to come to you?+
We handle small changes (text, photos, a new blog post) in the €29/mo subscription, usually within 24 hours. Want to edit things yourself? Then we connect a Git-based CMS such as Tina or Decap, or a headless Payload. We quote that separately because not everyone needs it.
